दिल इखतिआर में आया मिरें जब,  मिरा इजहार- ए-महोब्बत सरेआम हो गया  जिसकी गली का  भी मालूम भी न था  उसी के मकान में हररोज आना जाना हमारा काम हो गया ओ इसां गर तू सोचता है के तेरे पास कीमतीं सामान नहीं, तो गौर से सुन,तेरी आखोँ के पीछे गहरे समन्दर में इक मणि है,तेरे जिस्म के मध्य तह में इक सापँ,गर तू इस साँप को मणि से मिला दे,तो तमाम दुनिया की दौलतों से भी कीमतीं या फिर यूं कहे कि अनमोल सामान का तू मालिक हो जाएगा,जा हासिल कर ना पूछ मिरां मिजाज तब तक जब तक मिरीं रूह वज्द में ना आए, सुन यार मिरीं फकत ये मुश्किल है तमाम हसरतों की चाह मिरीं रुह को कैद करती गयी, फिर बस इक चाह मिरीं इन हसरतों को तमाम करने की रिहा कर गई खुदा आसमां से जमीं पर देखता नहीं, ये राज जानते ही हम अपनी आखोँ के रास्ते से अक्सर आसमां को देखा करते है जिस्म तब तक जब तक इसमें रूह समाई है, रूह तब तक जब तक इसमें सासों की आवा जाई है, सासें कब तक ये तू नहीं जान पायेगा, पर जे गौर करेगा जो तू खुद की सासों पर तो अपने जिस्म और रूह दोनों पे कब्जा पाएगा इतना कर और सासों की माला पिरोह फिर तू जानेगा तू बस परवरदिगार...
